Hey all,
Sorry for not posting much – life has been a whirlwind of busy, as of late. I did just finish this one up: the Shiflett Brothers’ “Komodo King”. What can I say that hasn’t already been said? This kit is chock full of cool! From the scarred hooded head, to the fantastically textured Dragons on the base, this is definitely a painter’s piece, and can be interpreted in so many ways.
I want to thank the Bros for asking me to paint this up for them, as well as for their artistic guidance – it was a real honor to be able to work on this piece – thanks, guys!!

Huh, I thought I had posted this here already, but I guess I didn't (slaps forehead). This is Simon Lee's amazing "Quadruped" kit. The base was made from several pieces of driftwood cobbled together, as well as some good ol’ Aves. Needless to say, this was a hoot to work on, and is one of my fave Simon Lee sculpts. Thanks for looking!

It was a great show, and was very cool to finally meet Brandon & Jarrod, as well as Angela, Kim, the mighty Simon Lee, crazy Norm Meyers, Paul Komoda, Jordu Schell & his talented crew, Damon Bard, Miyo Nakamura, and Alfred P., as well as hanging with all the Wonderfest regulars in a different time zone.
I also wanted to give a special shout-out to Scott Whitworth for inviting me to come to the show with him, and to Casey Love and his wonderful wife Melissa for their unrelenting hospitality during our stay.

It was very cool to see this sculpt floating around the room, and watching it morph and grow at every viewing - great idea, and killer work by all involved!!

Hello!
I don't get over here as often as I'd like, but I just finished this one up and wanted to share: Simon Lee / Spiderzero’s “Hunter’s Moon” kit. Such a cool concept, and a great sculpture! I was inspired by the coloring & patterns on Clouded Leopards, and tried my best to replicate that look. I scratch-built the bow for his hand, and used a slightly larger base, but the rest of the kit is as-is. Thanks to all the folks I bounced ideas off of, and for their input in return, and thanks for looking!!
